The City Of Calabasas Introduces Some Fun Halloween Alternatives
With all the spooky stuff that’s already been going on this year, many people have given up on the idea of a fun-filled Halloween this year. But with the spookiest holiday fast approaching, many of us, particularly those with kids, are wondering how to celebrate Halloween safely. While traditional trick or treating might be out the window, the City of Calabasas has come up with some fun alternatives to trick or treating for this scary 2020 season.
Car Masquerade & Parade: Saturday, October 31st.
Sure, we might not be able to walk around from door to door to trick or treat and show off our scariest costumes, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to be entirely canceled. Calabasas invites you to join in the fun safely and decorate your vehicles to join the Car Masquerade and Parade.
Decorated cars will parade along Calabasas’ “Halloween Lane”, and prizes will be handed out for the “spookiest”, “kookiest” and “best overall” car costume. Not to mention, there’ll also be a special appearance by The Calabasas Pumpkin Festival’s mascot Punky. And what’s Halloween without treats? Kids 13 and under will receive a treat bag filled with candy, toys, and other surprises.
Space is limited, so if you would like to participate, please pre-register at www.cityofcalabasas.com and select a convenient start time for you to show off your best car costume. LA County COVID protection order will be in place at this event.

Even if normal Halloween activities have to be postponed for 2020, it doesn’t mean we can’t all try our best to have a bit of spooky fun regardless and keep ourselves and our loved ones safe at the same time.
